TIME magazine has been easily the most aggressive traditional publication to get NFTs right. TIME released its latest ‘TIMEPieces’ release today, raising funds for humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine.
pixelmon takes heat
Conversation around the NFT community today was rife around the massive flop of Pixelmon, an NFT project that raised a staggering $70 million and promised a high-flying roadmap. It’s been a flop of epic proportions, quickly becoming the ‘flavor of the week’ laughingstock in the NFT space:

KPMG Canada Buys ‘World Of Women’ NFT
KPMG is one of the ‘big four’ accounting firms with operations around the world. In an announcement today, the Canadian division of KPMG has purchased a ‘World of Women’ NFT as “part of its corporate strategy”. The minimum price in WoW is currently around $25K. A Managing Partner of KPMG Canada Advisory Services, Benjie Thomas, stated:
“This acquisition reflects our belief not only in the continued growth of NFT, but also in the value of WoW and its mission. Having been through the process, we are well positioned to guide our clients in building a corporate NFT strategy, including the acquisition and protection of NFTs.”
Projects like WoW that champion gender equality in a predominantly male environment are poised to be major players for institutions that want purpose-driven NFT investments.
