The core developers of Terra Classic (LUNC), Edward Kim and Tobias Anderson, have left the Terra Rebels volunteer developer group. Terra Rebels has announced that it is reducing the number of inactive team members to increase efficiency.

However, the Terra Classic community is disappointed with the latest decision, as key members such as Edward Kim and Zaradar are left out of the developments. As a result, the LUNC price has now started to fall further.

Terra Classic developers are leaving Terra Rebels

Tobias Anderson or Zaradar announced in a tweet on Dec. 19 that he was leaving the Terra Rebels group over disagreements with recent board discussions over funding.

“I have relinquished my position in Terra Rebels due to an inability to join the most recent board discussions on funding. As a result, I’ve been removed from GitHub and can no longer maintain PRs.”

Validator LUNCDAO reacted to the reduction in Terra Rebels members and shared concerns about not retaining key contributors Edward Kim and Zaradar. LUNC DAO believes that Terra Rebels are not eligible for $150,000 from the community pool without major contributors in the group.

Another developer, Duncan, claimed he left the Terra Rebels because he moved to a corporate structure. Despite 25-65 people in the group and “internal board has no quorum and passed with 7 yes votes.”

According to ClassyCrypto, the Terra Rebels have now been reduced to just 12 members. These include Raider70, ReXx, Vegas, ClanMudhorn, EchelOn and others. Terra Rebels pays these 12 “active” members and the remaining “inactive” members receive a stipend for their contributions and are contracted based on the project.

LUNC price continues to fall

The Terra Classic community is disappointed by Terra Rebels’ decision. As a result, the price of Terra Classic (LUNC) is down 3% in the last 24 hours and 17% in a week. The LUNC price is currently trading at $0.0001381, the lowest recorded in recent times.

Some believe this could be the end of LUNC as it is unclear whether Edward Kim and Zaradar will work on the Terra Classic developments. Meanwhile, others are criticizing Terra Rebels for not going along with the v23 upgrade and shifting focus to Rebel Station.
