Blockchain startup Ripple has announced the addition of around 4,000 singers, musicians, content creators, game designers, and other artists to its NFT platform with a creator pool valued at over $250 million.

Launched in September 2021, the blockchain producer aims to support artists and creative agencies such as Mintable, MintNFT, VSA Partners, NFT PRO, Ethernal Labs, and onXRP.

The creator pool will be distributed in batches with a variable theme for each “wave” of apps.

Nick Rose, CEO and founder of Ethernal Labs, said:

“This partnership allows us to strengthen the Web 3 ecosystem by pioneering cross-chain interoperability and bringing NFTs and digital assets to the masses.”

Notable artists brought into this batch include Justin Bua, filmmaker Steven Sebring, and xPunks. They have come together to connect the call for various artists.

“I am extremely excited to be one of the first visual artists to work with Ripple to bring my artistic vision to life in this tokenized world and provide the support I need to grow the BUA community,” said Justin Bua.

For the next waves of applications, independent and newbie creators can also film their material to join the Creator Fund.

As the only creator-focused platform on the market, Ripple remains steadfast in its goal of helping creators grow their careers and build their community with the help of XRP Ledger.

The theme of the current wave will be announced in the second quarter of the year. Rotation themes will allow current NFTs to use cases on the ledger, with various themes exploring media and entertainment, sustainability, and real estate.

Real Utility And Web 3.0

The launch of NFT-Devnet, a beta development environment that seeks to help more NFT creators in the industry, marked a new turn in the industry.

Ripple is slowly venturing into the world of Web 3.0 with the use cases for tokenized assets. One report said that he had recently invested $100,000 in Feeturre, an entertainment and music marketplace.

The entry into Web 3.0 is due to the possible increased utility of the XRP Ledger ecosystem. With the addition of their ledger, marketplaces like Feeturre will have lower fees and faster settlement processes.

Monica Long, General Manager of the RippleX application development arm, commented on the increasing pace of the NFT market and the need to maximize its potential:

“NFTs have quickly shown they have real utility within cryptocurrencies, from digital experiences and rewards to artist royalties, co-ownership of real-world assets, and more.”

From March 11-20, 2022, Ripple will host Ripple House at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.
