A recent eToro survey included 2,000 US-resident adults between the ages of 18 and 99, and examined whether crypto enthusiasts have better opportunities when it comes to finding partners.
It turns out that being crypto savvy has become desirable on the dating scene, according to the popular multi-asset brokerage and social trading firm.
Paying the bill in Bitcoin increases the chances of a second date
According to the results, including cryptocurrency in an online dating profile can play an important role in attracting suitors, with roughly one in three (33%) Americans saying they are more likely to date someone who mentions it.
However, the results are skewed by gender, with more than 40% of men and 25% of women surveyed saying they are more interested in a potential date when cryptocurrencies are mentioned.
Almost 20% of the participants indicated that they would be more interested in someone who has a NFT profile picture on a social platform or dating site.
The survey results also suggested that paying with cryptocurrency could be an important factor when it comes to dating.
Nearly three in four (74%) of those surveyed said they would be interested in going on a second date with someone who paid the bill in Bitcoin.
Here again, paying the bill in Bitcoin turned out to be of greater importance to men than to women.

More than two-thirds (68%) of those surveyed said they would be willing to date someone they met through a financial platform.
According to the results, men (nearly 75%) are more open than women (just over 60%) to dating someone they met on an online investment platform.
When it comes to Valentine’s Day gifts, survey results revealed that more than a third of participants (34%) would be more excited to receive cash or a gift card.
Meanwhile, 8% of respondents said they would be most interested in receiving an NFT or crypto as a gift this Valentine’s Day.
