Popular Canadian rapper Aubrey Drake Graham, also known as Drake, placed a massive bitcoin bet on Sunday’s Super Bowl game between the Los Angeles Rams (LA Rams) and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Drake took a snapshot of his bet and posted it on Instagram for his more than 100 million followers, with the caption “All bets go to the family.” The rapper’s bet was a total of $1.26 million in bitcoin, which was made through Stake, a cryptocurrency sports betting platform. Drake placed a CA$600,000 ($472,476) worth of bitcoin bet on the LA Rams to win against the Bengals. The rapper also appeared to be trailing LA Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr, betting CA$500,000 ($393,825) on the footballer to have more than 62.5 receiving yards. The Canadian celebrity bet another C$500,000 on Beckham Jr to catch a touchdown. In November, the American footballer announced that he will receive his NFL salary in BTC, following a partnership with CashApp. Meanwhile, Super Bowl LVI, which kicks off on Sunday, February 13, has drawn a lot of interest from different crypto companies. Multiple exchanges have spent millions of dollars on ads to reach viewers during the game. Sam Bankman-Fried’s FTX recently announced that he will give away free bitcoins as part of his BTC campaign. The platform paid for the ad space in October 2021. Another major cryptocurrency exchange, CryptoCom, paid more than $6 million for a 30-second ad in the 2022 Super Bowl.
