The Bitcoin price rose above $23,500 at 4 pm UTC on January 29. That value raised the asset’s market capitalization above $452 billion.
The change represents a 3.65% increase from the current lowest value of the asset ($22,157). The Bitcoin price gained almost $1,350 by that measure.

Today’s move represents a five-month high as the crypto asset approaches $24,000 for the first time since August 2022.
Bitcoin also saw $32 million in total liquidations, more than 75% short liquidations.
Meanwhile, Ethereum is up 5.7% in 24 hours, while the entire cryptocurrency market is up a more modest $40 billion over the same period. The global crypto market capitalization has now held at over $1 trillion for eight consecutive days, the longest time since June 2022.
