The cryptocurrency market failed to generate any significant movement in the last 24 hours as most coins are trading flat with no real discrepancies. There are, of course, some exceptions, so let’s break it down.
Bitcoin price fixed at $39K
As seen in the chart below, the last 24 hours were finally a bit less volatile compared to previous periods.
With one exception where the price of BTC fell to $38,500, the top cryptocurrency has been trading around $39,000 for the most part. This is expected as it is the weekend and volumes are generally lower.

The lack of tumultuous price action also resulted in far fewer liquidations compared to previous days. Over the last 24 hours, only around $38 million worth of long and short positions were liquidated, where the ratio is also somewhat flat at 58% long liquidations. The largest single settlement order was a perpetrator of $800K worth of ETH and it happened on OKEx.
THORChain advances, the best alternatives stall
The top 10 leading altcoins failed to produce any sizable movement over the last day.

As seen in the heatmap above, most cryptocurrencies are trading in the red for minimal losses, typical sideways action. LUNA continues to lose the gains made during its recent rally as the coin is down another 3% today.
The biggest gainer of the last 24 hours is THORChain’s RUNE, up 10.5%. With this recent surge, the cryptocurrency is up a total of 40% over the past week.
On the other hand, JUNO lost the most, around 8%, followed by ANC at 6%. The latter is also the coin that lost the most value during the week, around 47%.
