What is automated settlement?

Automated settlement allows you to trade via the OTC RFQ with available balances in your Kraken account in three simple steps: request a quote, accept that quote, and confirm the trade. Go from initial quote to final settlement in seconds.

What if I like the flexible settlement that I already use?

If you already enjoy access to flexible settlement, the ability to trade now and settle later, nothing needs to change. Our person-to-person settlement expertise and global team of traders remain at your service 24 hours a day.

How can I start using automatic settlement?

Customers must first join RFQ. Our OTC desk traders will work with you to assess your trading needs and determine the appropriate liquidation eligibility. Customers eligible for flexible settlement can simply select any of the settlement options on the OTC portal before quoting.

Automatic settlement = instant settlement for clients who want an accurate, finalized and up-to-date snapshot of their business status.

Automated Request for Quote

Our self-service RFQ allows you to generate your own instant trading quote for $100K+ of any eligible crypto asset up to a maximum of $1 million (which can be increased on a case-by-case basis). New RFQ features include:

Stablecoin Trading: USDT/USD, USDT/EUR, USDC/USDT, USDC/USD, USDC/EUR
Quotes available by lot size or by transaction amount in base currency
“Max Trade Size” and “Max Amount” per asset displayed on the UI
Indicative prices for OTC clients without access to RFQs

There is a maximum number of coins that can be purchased by trade. This maximum may vary and the current limits are always available in the OTC portal FAQ. Although there are maximums per trade, an unlimited number of trades can be performed. The eligible assets are shown below:
